Diego Maradona’s private life

Lionel Messi and Diego Maradona are also having different private life. Diego was addicted to cocaine. El Pibe de Oro was accused of using drugs in 1983. His addiction became strong when he was a Napoli player. Furthermore, El Pibe de Oro tended to gain weight and became increasingly obese, at one point weighing 280 lb (130 kg).

He was obese from the end of his competitive career until undergoing gastric bypass surgery at a clinic in Cartagena de Indias, Colombia, on March 6, 2005. His surgeon said that Maradona would follow a liquid diet for three months so he could return to his normal weight. When El Pibe de Oro continued to appear in public soon after, he had a significantly thinner body.

On 25th November 2020, El Pibe de Oro passed away due to a heart attack in his own residence at Tigre, Buenos Aires, Argentina. His death happened after his 61st birthday.
