Haaland hopes to be Mbappe’s teammate

Despite the talent and class comparisons made by the football world, there seems to be no animosity between Haaland and Mbappe.

The debate over who is the best of the “new generation” between Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland has been and continues to be a topic of discussion among football enthusiasts and analysts for a long time.

This rival duo constantly shines and breaks many world football records in just a few years. Many people believe that after Messi and Ronaldo, Haaland and Mbappe will be the new contrasting pair that will make the football world tremble.

Not only praised for their talents, like Messi and Ronaldo, Haaland and Mbappe seem to have no animosity towards each other but also respect each other greatly. In a recent interview with RMC Sports, the Man City number 9 expressed admiration for Mbappe, even wishing to share the frontline with the French international.

“There are many good players, and Kylian is one of them. He is incredibly strong! The French team is lucky to have him in their lineup. Of course, I would like him to play for Norway, but that is not possible. But yes, Mbappe is an extraordinary player,” Haaland said about Mbappe.

In the past, the two faced each other in the Champions League when Haaland was still playing for Dortmund. To this day, the impression of his colleague in the Norwegian striker position remains deep, making him not hesitate to praise the 2018 World Cup champion.

“He is very fast, very strong, and has been at the top for many years. Is he even human? Kylian is only two years older than me. That’s crazy! He still has 10 years at the top ahead of him. He is simply extraordinary,” Haaland said about Mbappe.

Haaland’s comments seem to dispel any notion of rivalry between him and Mbappe. Similar to Messi and Ronaldo, both players push each other forward toward the goal of winning.

As for the desire to play alongside Mbappe, it may be difficult but not impossible. Perhaps at Man City, where Arab owners are not short of money and where coach Pep Guardiola is said to be very impressed with the French striker.

In another scenario, Haaland and Mbappe could be teammates at the great Real Madrid, the club that the 24-year-old forward dreams of playing for and is also said to be pursuing Man City’s number 9 to replace Benzema in the future.
